Hi! I'm so happy to have you here! My name is Kaitlyn Reese. I was born and raised in a rural area of VA. I am now happily living not too far from where I grew up in the area of Lexington, VA. I am a wife and mother of two adorable toddlers! When I am not homeschooling my kiddos or photographing my lovely clients you will most likely find me working as a camp manager at Grace Bible Camp located in Goshen, VA. My husband is a pastor of a local church as well and I often try to help there whenever I am able to!
My faith is incredibly important to me. I want anyone that meets me to feel the love of Christ shining through me. I just want to treat everyone with kindness just as Christ has told us to do as Christians.
I have had a passion for photography since before I could remember. I actually came from a family of eighteen (Yes! You read that correctly!) I am the eldest of sixteen children. My mother LOVES photos and documenting family (she is big into family history) and was discouraged when none of the photographers in our area would work with such large numbers unless they charged extremely more than my family could afford at the time. So my parents made the purchase of a Canon Rebel t3i through QVC payment plans and I got to work! From there I became very passionate about getting to know the camera and capturing as many images as I could to practice perfecting my skills in photography. I even opened my own little photography business in college..I couldn't keep it up once I took on two school programs at once...fast forward..I got married, had my gorgeous baby girl in 2019 and then my handsome little boy in 2021..my hands were FULL! My husband dabbles into countless hobbies! One of those hobbies just happened to turn into photography when our daughter was born. He kept encouraging me to try to get back into the swing of things in photography..so long story short..I wanted to capture priceless memories of my children using my high quality camera! And it made me the photographer that I am today!
I am PASSIONATE about the fact that you cannot stop time! The only way we can "pause" time is through our cameras. That's why I share the value of investing in family portraits or even just portraits of where you are right now in life! I recently photographed a good friend of mine who isn't married and doesn't have children! She bought her first home and wanted photos on her walls of her and her sweet pup! I LOVE that!! Don't wait to document your life! You only live once! (YOLO, right?).
